Basic Drawing Course (for teens & adults)

 

6 sessions 1 hour each

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays 10am - 7pm

This course teaches  the art of drawing - one of the most important skills for any visual artist.

It starts by teaching the basics of outline drawing, first with a cubic model then with the different geometric shapes that make up the body of every possible object - the sphere, pyramid, cube and cylinder.

Students will learn to draw and shade these objects both individually and grouped together.

 

 

From here, students will then learn how to draw the most useful textures for an artist to master - wood, metal and glass. They will learn to draw these textures both singly and in combination with each other.

 

Finally, students will learn to draw objects from nature, singly and together, with one texture or a variety of textures.

 

By the end of the course, students wll be surprised at how well they are able to draw objects from real life or their own imagination.
